Personal Experience
His previous work experience includes working with one of the largest electricity distribution companies in Nigeria (IBEDC), as a Protection and Control Engineer. His responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, testing and commissioning of 33/11KV substation equipment including 105MVA power transformer installed capacity, and calibration of feeder protection relays. He conducted critical system analyses such as relay coordination, transformer sizing, and short circuit studies while also collaborating with the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on 132kV/33kV monitoring and fault diagnosis.
Kola is also skilled in tools like ETAP and EKTS for power system modeling and analysis. He is particularly interested in contributing to technical knowledge-sharing, inter-agency collaboration, and engineering development initiatives related to power systems operations, energy management, and protection and control both within Nigeria and internationally, in ways that align with his responsibilities as a federal technical professional.
